It's always hard enough to start on the first post. I did write a lot previously, with a few different blogs where I basically poured my bitterness and expressed my frustration. Nevertheless, this appeared to be a tough task for me, even though I had the word "Dawn" come to my mind when we first discussed on the opening for this blog, most probably because I ain't an "English" person. People who know me, are aware of my style of only writing in Chinese. I was once called a Chinese Poet. *LOL* This name sucks. Do me a favor. Continue reading this.
Ever curious about what will you get when you key in "Dawn" in the Google search panel? Yes, you will see DAWN - Leading English Newspaper of Pakistan covering National and International News. Nooo...... We are not working on anything like this. You will know why we are here when you go through this overture.
One boring and uneventful morning, when I was sitting at my desk, as usual sparing my time when the lab work couldn't be done, the customers kept chasing me on my data, and I was equally frustrated as when I sabotaged my car by knocking down a STATIC (yes, not moving) bike, the idea of DOING SOMETHING MEANINGFUL stroke me. Checking my iPod, it was playing "The Last Breakthrough" theme song. My fingers just stopped typing on my dusty keyboard. I am still for at least 5 seconds. The show was about the voluntary doctors who were relocated to Africa. Well, this does not inflame my inner desire of becoming a doctor though (since I was young I dreamt about it but no I ended up being a boring engineering nerd). A letter of proposal was sent to KL Branch UNICEF, asking about the permission to have a blog that will be dedicated to the organization.
Then there was this effort of recruiting members. Don't expect a huge bunch of authors for this blog. Only 5 we have. Quality always comes first, not the quantity. *Roll eyes* Some brief meeting we had, and so this place was borned. The scope of interest for this space was then reviewed and we agreed that children only might not be as powerful. We always ignore and take the little thing in life for granted. Yet they are always there, just like our shadows. We share our thoughts here, wanting the readers to spend a few seconds maybe, check out the shadow of yours.
I promise, our main dishes are served with the humorous sarcasm from House, please sit back and relax. Let the journey begin!
